  • Artist: Jeremy Camp

    Album: Stay

Song: One Day At A Time

One day at a time i will walk this road i’ve traveled so far
One day at a time well i know i will carry on
One day at a time i can see you took my life this far
One day at a time I will take this faith along

All this hope i breathe is given by the hand that carries me
Until I’m complete and i’ll take all i will
To understand this plan you have for me, for me

I’ve been shut up shut down held out held down
In ways i never knew i would
I can’t feel your fullness in my life
Well i’ve been burned out broken torn out torn down
In ways i never knew i would
I can’t feel your fullness in my life

One day at a time I will take these words you’ve given me
One day at a time I will rest in knowing you
One day at a time I will share this gift you’ve given me
One day at a time I will walk these valleys through

All I know is that I see how much my heart
Is longing to be cradled by your side
And i’ll give all i can to one day soon
Be held by your hand, by your hand

In all these things i will press on
I’ll be with you i know it wont be long

  • What Does The Bible Say About Drinking Alcoholic Beverages?

    hmmmm………

    Some other stuff:

1Now when he saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him,
2 and he began to teach them, saying:
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you

  • 26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 27And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will. 28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,[10] who[11] have been called according to his purpose. 29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. 31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all–how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died–more than that, who was raised to life–is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written:
”For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[12] 37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[13] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

    Romans 8:26-39

  • Something I wrote a while back but its a reminder to all of us.

    PURITY:
Now this is something we often don’t hear too much about today.  Purity includes wholemsome thoughts, a sincere desire to do what is right, and a commitment to obey God’s Word.  For our bodies are holy temple of God which need to be cleansed of sin constantly because there is so much filth in our lives.  I was following the study and in Matthew 5:8 which I quote from Jesus…”Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.”  That is so true, how?  Jesus is saying that the center of our being, our will, our emotions, soul, and throught proccess need to be cleansed of sin.  Purity is huge friends, and it is important in our walk with God and it is something I honestly have stuggled with and still struggle with in my walk with God.  To help examine our lives the study I went through has some good pointers that I would like to share with all of you .  Here is a list….

    1. Do not place yourself in the way of unnecessary tempation
-Know the weaknesses and try to avoid situations where the tempation to sin would be irresistible.

    James 1:14-15
“But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.  Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, whne it is full-grown, brings forth death.”

    2.  Guard the content of your thoughts.
-Avoid filling your mind with the world’s moral filth

    2 Timothy 2:22
“Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.”

    3.  Beware of the sins of the heart.

    Matthew 5:27-30
“You have heard that it was said to those of old, you shall not commit adultery.  But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.  If yourr right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your memebers perish than for your whole body to be cast into hell”   -WOW, craziness but so true and real.

    4.  Avoid adulterous relationships
-God specifically warns us against living in immoral relationships.  I am sure many of you know what that means.

    1 Thessalonians 4:1-8
“1 Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God; 2for you know what commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus.
3For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; 4that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, 5not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God; 6that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified. 7For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. 8Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given[1] us His Holy Spirit.”

    5.  If you fall, pray to God for forgiveness and for Him to purify your heart.

    1 John 1:9
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  God is so good and His truth endures forever.

    6.  Keep an eternal perspective
-do not waste your time searching and seeking after earthly pleasure.  These things will perish and they do not benefit the Kingdom of God.

    2 Peter 3:10-11
“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness.”

    7.  Live to please God.
-We need to surrender out lives to God everyday and die to ourselves and to know we are dependent on Him.  Allow the Holy Spirt to take control of your actions, thoughts and decisions that way we can live a life that is more pleasing to God.

    Romans 8:5-8

“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.”

  • Life has been awesome and very very busy.  Hardly get a chance to slow down for a bit.  Still got so much to do but there never seems to be enough time in a day.  Well, here are just a few quick pics of what I’ve been up to.  Been spending a lot of quality time in the dorms lately (mainly Tercero) and it has truly been a blessing.  More prop to you On Campus leaders, yay.  I’ve met some many new people I can’t even remember half of their names, its so crazy but cool at the same time.  The Lord is moving and is going to continue to move throughout this campus…we just have to believe in our hearts that He will do great things.

Took some freshman to dinner at Jade Garden & then we hit up dollar scoop night, sweet action.

Dodgeball on the Quad, that was way cool too.
