  • After The Rain Comes The Sun

I think photography is accidental a lot of times.  I’ve found many
of my shots that I’ve intentionally attempted to shoot don’t always
come out the way I wanted or expected them to come out.  I find
that a lot of my work has been accidental or unintentional shall I
say.  It’s actually kind of disappointing and surprising all at the
same time.  The intentional work can be disappointing a lot of
times and the best part is when you take something you had no real
intention of shoot and somehow the photo just stood out to you or there
was something about it that caught your eye.  That’s the
surprisingly good part!  It can be a hate and love relationship
    To have
mastered photography is truly a life long mission because I don’t think
    anyone
can!  There are an overwhelming amount of variables that are
involved in photography but that doesn’t mean there aren’t extravagant artist
out there, because there are.  I think the most difficult part is
setting yourself apart among other photographers.  That in itself
is a real challenge and I don’t know if I’ll ever really develop a
style or something that sets my work apart from others.  There is
no such thing as ones work being better than others because its all
interpreted to people so differently based on the way they view things
in life.  I remember asking a series of people what they though
about some of my photos and when they saw it, to my surprise they all
had something very different to say about it.  Many of them even viewed
it in ways I had not seen or though about myself until brought to my
attention.  I believe thats one of the beauties of photography is
how it can speak to each individual differently!

  • i found that photography was about having a quick reaction and getting that camera ready to go..quickly.
    btw beautiful shot!

  • I agree – Photography sometimes is incidental. Wonderful shot – Great hues!

  • :sunny: nice photo! i have actually been quite surprised sometimes with how photos have turned out.

  • i agree…photography is love and hate…so is videotaping.  This one turned out great though!  I still try to master photography too!  Let’s hangout when i get back!

  • Very well said! It seems like when we’ve gotten the hang of one aspect of photography, there’s another one waiting for us, and another one, and another one! I really like the flow of the clouds in relation to the sun on this photo!

  • photography can be accidental a lot of the time, but like someone said “Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.” you have to be prepared to catch the shot when something happens. and when you start getting a lot of accidental shots that turn out awesome, take a look and figure out how come those shots were so awesome… and you might start finding that you can duplicate them after all, that awesome shots don’t always have to be accidental anymore :)

  •  ”I believe thats one of the beauties of photography is how it can speak to each individual differently!”

    I totallyagree!!!

You know what I like to do alot of times I will just take my camera and hold it down by my leg while I am walking by something and I will just take a shot. When I look at it later I usually end up loving it. Around here we call it sniping…I love the accidental look as well as the great angles I get from sniping…

Try it… it is fun!  :fun:

  • i love the picture! i think the best fotos are taken when they’re candid and not posed. it captures a mement in our lives that’s unexpected and spontaneous.. that’s how life should be.

ryc: i’m looking for tires for my tsx i think they’re 215/50 R17. i was looking at some yokohamas for aggressive driving (not that i’m into aggressive driving or peeling out or wutever.. i just tend to take sharp turns around corners and it wears down my tires real fast) hopefully my new tires can last me longer than the stock ones i have on now……..

  • Tru dat!
Even as an artist myself, art can take many forms and can be quite subjective. Some ppl might come to hate a photo while others love it. We can’t please everyone but at least it makes ppl have a response one way or another.
For me, I LOVE your photo! Probably one of ur best yet!

Yup.. sometimes the accidental ones are the best!

  • Very true about photography. You can always grow more and achieve a higher level of mastery. But it’s cool to remember, because even photographic icons have somewhere still to go.

    Cool photos.
