  • MERRY CHRISTMAS

  • All I Want For Christmas Is You

Hey everyone, sorry I’ve been MIA(missing in action) for so long.  I’ve been super busy with school stuff coming to an end, trying to figure out what to get for people for Christmas, working, job hunting, meeting up with some people that I haven’t caught up with and lastly just tired to post anything.  Honestly, I’ve had no desire to post for some odd reason for about a week or so but finally gaining some of that enthusiasm back.

So Christmas is just 4 days away and I have not finished making and buying Christmas presents yet.  You’d think Id have more time to do so but most of my day is spent at work so by the time I get off there isn’t any day light left to do what I need to do.  Time is another issue or perhaps I haven’t used it as wisely as I should have but never the less I’m under the gun to beat the clock!  Christmas shopping is most stressful when you can’t seem to figure out what to get those who are difficult to shop for.  Blah, it can be such a drag.  I know its the thought that counts but some people don’t always view it that way.

So I’m currently posting through explorer because for some reason the latest version of Mozilla Firefox doesn’t allow me to load photos!  I have no idea why and I have tried figuring out what the problem could be but haven’t come across anything.  Anyways, it seem to work through explorer even though I hate this browser it works for a xanga post!

  • Sweet Seduction

Can you believe Christmas is ONLY 2 weeks away?  I seriously felt like I just had Thanksgiving a week ago.  Oh where does the time go?  I haven’t even begun shopping or making things for my family and friends this Christmas.  I hope I have time, 2 week deadline!   I don’t know about you guys, but for me, I’m doing all my Christmas shopping and what not online.  Forget going to the flaming mall, that place is a jungle.  You have to like suit up to go there, strap on ammunition, flash bangs and smoke grenades  to get pass the crowd hahaha!  Basically that place is  CRAZY!  You wont find me in a mall at all during this time of the year.  Only time you’ll find me at the mall is, uh NEVER, haha!  Only three reasons for me being at the mall: 1. GF and 2. Apple Store, hahahaha & 3. Sister!  Only problem when I go with my sister is we are only 3 year a part in age; some people think thats my girl friend so when I go with her, were split half the time haha.  I can’t be having her cramp my style, shoot! hahaha.   But on top of all this holiday frenzy action, parking lots are a zoo!  So I say why not shop online when they ship that crap to your house anyways, hahaha!  It’s just like the store with the same tax!  Maybe, the store might have something the internet doesn’t but thats a risk I’m willing to take.  However, online shopping has its disadvantages too.  For one, you can’t physically touch or hold the item.  For some people online photos are not convincing enough!  So for clothing I can understand it is difficult to make purchases on the internet unless you know for sure what you are doing and what you want to purchase.  But in the end, Id still rather shop online!

  • The Singing Christmas Tree
    Family Weekend Event

This past weekend some of my family and I went to the 50th Annual Singing Christmas Tree Musical.  It’s been a family tradition every Christmas season.  I must say every year they never fail to amaze me with their creativity, color schemes and themes.  Sorry I don’t have a closer shot of the actual tree but the choir is actually all in the tree.  Pretty cool eh?  That’s why its called the Singing Christmas Tree, Duh!!! hahahah.  I miss choir!  One thing I do wish I had done in college was join the Gospel Choir but practice was always at a very conflicting time.  =(  Never too late to join a church choir! =)

I was reading a fellow xangastas post today and it really got me thinking about the meaning of Christmas.  I want to survey people on the street with a video camera and mic and ask what Christmas means to them?  I really do wonder what people might say?  I could think of a number of responses already: Presents, Family, Friends, Santa Clause, Giving to others, etc.  These are all good things but I can count on it that Jesus might not be our first response!  I am guilty as charged.  When you are surrounded in a capital market, buy and selling and Christmas that Christmas this it’s really easy to lose focus of the reason for the season.  Jesus is the real reason why we celebrate this season.  Our existence is sustain because of Him.  I know not everyone who will read this might agree but for me He is what keeps me going.  There is no greater gift to mankind.  I would really like to go back in time and be there when Jesus was born.  I really wonder what went through Mary’s and Joseph’s mind.  I would like to see it for my own eyes but maybe one day we I get HOME, He will be able to tell me the story just how it was in full detail! =)  What does Christmas mean to you?

  • My Baby

Well look who else joined us on Thanksgiving!  She is a Korean Jindogu.  She’s the only Jindogu I’ve seen with an array of different color shades; for the most part they are normally golden and are not as furry!  I like to think of her looks as a breed between a fox and a wolf, haha!  Her tail look like a fox tail, it’s pretty funny!   Isn’t she purrrdy? =)

On another note, are there just some days you wake up and for some reason you don’t feel peace?  It’s hard to keep a Godly focus when you are bombarded everyday with rising problems and chaos that surrounds us.  You might say I’m looking at it from a negative perspective and you’re probably right but I seriously think sometimes some of us are just too busy to even really have an real concern about what’s going on around the world or even somewhere as local as the community we live in.  I was in my techno culture studies class today and I was listening to people discussion about our readings from a book called “Our Stolen Future” which had to do with rising and possible consequences for our action we make today that will affect our future; that being our children and our children’s children.  Many of us don’t even realize it I think and a lot of the decision we make seem so astronomical such as like global warming and other such serious matter that its overwhelming.  When you think about it its like, man I don’t see how we can change things around or educate the world about rising issues.  I mean look how long it take for information to diffuse in our society today.  Yah we have the internet, and other resources to go to to learn more but how many of us really consciously do that!  I know I don’t always do that.  I think human race here from a human perspective is being threatened so which is why we are finally looking to alternative solutions to solving rising problems we are seeing and predicting today.  I’m already sure we’ve been always doing this but a lot of what we see today I think is a result of our carelessness and disrespect to the earth we inhabit.  Call me an environmentalist or whatever you want but these things do concern me.  The most interesting thing to me is all the prophecies being fulfilled through a lot of what I see today.  It’s really amazing, and scary at the same time.  I almost feel like I see a puzzle being put together before my eyes.  My verdict after having such thoughts from what I’ve read and heard, this place we inhabit is doomed anyways, were going to need a “Savior” to pull us our of this rut!  For me, that answer is Christ!
