  • My Baby

Well look who else joined us on Thanksgiving!  She is a Korean Jindogu.  She’s the only Jindogu I’ve seen with an array of different color shades; for the most part they are normally golden and are not as furry!  I like to think of her looks as a breed between a fox and a wolf, haha!  Her tail look like a fox tail, it’s pretty funny!   Isn’t she purrrdy? =)

On another note, are there just some days you wake up and for some reason you don’t feel peace?  It’s hard to keep a Godly focus when you are bombarded everyday with rising problems and chaos that surrounds us.  You might say I’m looking at it from a negative perspective and you’re probably right but I seriously think sometimes some of us are just too busy to even really have an real concern about what’s going on around the world or even somewhere as local as the community we live in.  I was in my techno culture studies class today and I was listening to people discussion about our readings from a book called “Our Stolen Future” which had to do with rising and possible consequences for our action we make today that will affect our future; that being our children and our children’s children.  Many of us don’t even realize it I think and a lot of the decision we make seem so astronomical such as like global warming and other such serious matter that its overwhelming.  When you think about it its like, man I don’t see how we can change things around or educate the world about rising issues.  I mean look how long it take for information to diffuse in our society today.  Yah we have the internet, and other resources to go to to learn more but how many of us really consciously do that!  I know I don’t always do that.  I think human race here from a human perspective is being threatened so which is why we are finally looking to alternative solutions to solving rising problems we are seeing and predicting today.  I’m already sure we’ve been always doing this but a lot of what we see today I think is a result of our carelessness and disrespect to the earth we inhabit.  Call me an environmentalist or whatever you want but these things do concern me.  The most interesting thing to me is all the prophecies being fulfilled through a lot of what I see today.  It’s really amazing, and scary at the same time.  I almost feel like I see a puzzle being put together before my eyes.  My verdict after having such thoughts from what I’ve read and heard, this place we inhabit is doomed anyways, were going to need a “Savior” to pull us our of this rut!  For me, that answer is Christ!

  • Great thoughts on that last paragraph! (Cute canine, too.) I’ve thought about those global problems too and I’ve wondered about how to make a difference. The first one that came to mind was have everyone leave the world better off than when they came: for all the bad stuff a human being causes, he/she should contribute something to the world to offset it. For example, have each person plant a few trees. When it’s all added up, it’ll still be a net positive. But that’s just wishful thinking, and not everyone in the world will take that opportunity. Most people, I think, would just squander that opportunity.

But the more exciting prospect is the idea of extraordinary individuals or teams making a disproportionate, exponential difference–more than enough. I think I’ve seen this done through innovation and invention. I’ve often thought of how cool it would be to have little anti-smog machines that take in smoggy air and break it down into harmless gases. You could have billions of such devices and plant them all over the place! Even with the smog check system in California, there’s still pollution working its way from the coastal areas into the Central Valley and Inland Empire.

But such is the stuff of dreams. Let’s do lunch again sometime!

  • thanks for your thoughts, awesome shots by the way, love the texture

  • ur pup looks sad :( yea, it’s so hard to stop and think about the decisions that we make. i say, our teachers and professors and adults don’t train us to think hard on the consequences of our actions. o/c it’s not their faults, but it is true that it’s not natural for us to think globally when our eyes are centered on ourselves.

  • Actually, Porsche’s in my opinion are very common.  You’re right about the Boxster, that’s too common… and not that there’s anything wrong with that, but when I see everyone and their grandma (literally, their grandma) driving it… it loses it’s appeal as a sports car.

Unless you know the differences in the models, people don’t really give 911′s, or Boxster’s a second look.  Again, I would never buy a car cause I want people to stare… but there’s something to the fact that a Porsche is so common.  Tt’s too easy to own if you have money.  That’s personally why I like the car I drive now.  You HAVE to want to drive it… it’s not convenient.

With that being said, I would still love to get the GT3 RS.  That being probably one of the rarest Porsches in their current line up.

  • Ok… I agree with both Kerri and Scott’s comments
on your beautiful dog and your thought provoking post…

  • Hey…turns out we have not only insurance but great insurance! Just called them and they are sending a check out today for “replacement value” we pay $250 deductible. Sounds great to us!!! We realized yesterday at the family shoot that something happened to the 20D too so that is getting replaced as well.

Thank God for prayers! and thank you for praying!
