  • My Kind Of Backyard

The above photos is not my backyard but it would be pretty awesome if it was haha!  Theres nothing really special about this photo but I was just playing around with the camera exposure and here is one of the images I got.  I didn’t have much time to capture the sunset after work so this was the tail end of what I could only get!  Still beautiful but it must be cool to live off of a lake all while paying huge property tax and for some owners maybe flood insurance haha!  Anyways, its beautiful never the less.  The following photo was edited using a couple of Scott’s actions but I don’t think I’ve played around enough with them to use them efficiently so sorry if the editing looks poor!  I will be experimenting more with the actions but I haven’t used my time as wisely this week after work to actually use them.  Slacker, I know! =)  Anyways, if you have any comments on the image or things you don’t like about it, let me know your thoughts! =)  I think I still need to learn more about why to edit more than how to edit.  I think I could still use a lot of tips on how to edit but learning why is more important I think!

Sorry for the short post, I’m on the go this weekend! =)

  • Hey, so Stephen A. Smith’s middle name IS Anthony as i suspected, haha. Oh, and I googled “stephen anthony” and the results coincidentally showed a wedding photographer named Stephen Anthony Smith, hahaha. But your stuff looks way better than his, haha really it does tho. Nice pic by the way

  • That is a beautyful picture and the house’s look like they are right in the water. :goodjob:

  • :goodjob: I like the water ripples in the foreground, they add a soft, liquid texture to the image

  • loks like the houses are actually on water

  • Nothing special about this photo? Are you kidding me? This is an awesome photo and I love how you captured it. Stop underestimating your talents my friend. Your work is good!!!! ~ Dawn

  • I felt stunning for this pic when first saw it, cause it’s beautiful!!! It shows that you are good to observe the thing arounds you and you can see/ explore their beauty by your eyes which it may hard for noticed by the others people. You really have the good artistic sense.

For my personal comment…..the pic is very good already, but maybe it would be more perfect if there can have a bit more graduation to the sky, cause it can make the sky looks not that “flat”, so the ND filter or Polarizer is can be the consideration. Also, it draws more attention from people if the colour of this pic is can be more saturated, because the colour of the sunset and sky are exactly the combination of contrast colour, thus, the sunset would become the main focal point by after increased its saturation. Its simply likes it’s the main attraction/ the soul of the story to this pic.

Well, I am not the professional on photography as I am just a newbie, but I was saying this from the graphic’s angle and also the reading habit from the nature of human, we called it as “reading/ looking flows”.

Pls. correct me if I did say something wrong. Also pls tell me what you think too no matter you are agreee or disagree to it. I think it’s a good and contributed acts if we can discuss our comment or tell our suggestion to artwork, cause it will let us can have the progression for sure. Cheers (^_^)

  • Beautiful photograph.  The wonderful thing about post processing is that is is 100% art.  Others may or maynot process the image in a different way, but what you produce is what you see in your minds eye.  BTW I agree with Dawn…great photography and

  • start giving yourself more credit. (hate it when I hit the wrong button…lol)

  • that is a great shot! the low angle near the water makes it special. seems like you caught the golden hour!
