California Lovin
Photo edited using Scott Robert Actions (click here for original image)
(Click here for original image)Warmer weather approaches California and yup its that time of the year again…shorts, t-shirts, beach wear and TRUE California attire rises from its wintery grave to meet the sunshine, blue skies, green lush and awesome colors of spring and summer! We are entering my favorite time of the year. I am totally a shorts, t-shirt and sandals kind of guy ready to hit the beach or lake at a moments notice! I love warmer weather and more day light in a day! But before we jump into summer we can’t forget Spring of course! =) 70-80 degree weather is just awesome. It’s time to rework my tan again hahaha and I can’t wait to start swimming again! It’s serious the ultimate exercise, arobic, muscle toning and cardiovascular workout that you can stay cool in 24/7. For me its a win win situation. Working out has become such a bore to me that I don’t do it anymore. I look for activities that involve higher level of physical movement in exchange for entertainment rather than running on a tredmill looking at a tv or waiting for the bench press! BOOOOORING! hahaha. Well, before I get off topic here I am happy the warm weather is here! =) Bless you California! After going to numerous cold areas this year theres no wonder why so many people love California. Shoot, even 2Pac has a song about California Love, haha! It is truly a great state to say the least!
Well if you haven’t noticed I have added Scott Robert Action to my photos (
) and its SIMPLY AMAZING. Editing in the past had been such a chore sometimes especially when you have many photos you want to edit. I enjoy editing to be honest because I am able to create something I think is beautiful! Prior to using Scott’s actions editing had been a chore because it would take me twice as long to edit the image to what I desired. Scott’s actions really enhance my photo work and cut down my post processing period by nearly half. I love the fact that you can have great control of what you want the image to look like. Scott claims to posses 7 Deadly actions and in my honest opinion they are pretty leathal! =) So if you are serious about your photography and would like to spend less time editing and become more efficent with your time, post processing and add pop to your photos then I highly recommend attending one of Scott’s workshops. Not only will you get the actions, you will learn a lot about how and why to edit but most importantly you will get a chance to meet a awesome and inspiring artist whose passion for photography, teaching and life are absolutely contagious! If you would like to find out how to attend one of Scott’s classes CLICK HERE or you can contact Scott or Junshien directly. Check out my previous few post for photos using Scott’s actions!
In regards to my previous post, I would like to thank everyone who commented, encouraged me, gave me advice or just took the time to read my post. You are all an awesome support group and only if I could meet you all in person. Maybe someday I will! =) You all have amazing talents, stories and passions…I am blessed to be connect to you all!
Until next time, peace and don’t forget to count your blessings today! We have a lot to be joyful about this Easter weekend! PTL! =)
Cheers, Steve

Great images and great post-processing! So you really like using the SR action set, eh?
OhhHHH pARTAY!!!!!!!!!
SA Huh!? Pretty COOOL!
Shameless plug, woohoo! But hey, I’m right there with you- Editing is actually FUN, when it’s so easy and quick. Scott’s class was so worth it… As a wedding photographer in today’s vicious market, I can’t imagine NOT having these tools and skills…
I would just love to see as faint, faint hint of warmth glowing around that cake, I think it would complete the image in a perfect way… But, everyone’s eyes and style is different, of course!
Take care,
-Matt-
BTW- where again do you live? Since I’m so frequently in both north and southern california, we might be able to hang out sometime…
i like i like.. the 2nd is a bit dark for my taste but i can see how the emphasis is on the candle (again symbolizing reunion and celebration) overall, as always, well done steve! :sunny: on a lighter note, from one photographer to another, as great and most of all convenient as Scott’s Actions may be.. dont let them limit you in terms of creativity and talent. with that said.. VIVA PHOTOGRAPHY!!! and btw, why the name change?
Nice work buddy! I would love to see the first one with a straightened horizon. Best of luck with your new found editing workflow.
Thanks for your kind comments! Interesting photos. Scott’s actions definitely stand out! I’d be interested to see what the first photo would look like with the horizon a bit more straightlined. The second had nice original colors. What would it look like without the B/W?
so new name huh? how come? sngpimpin didn’t work out for you? hehe well done with the photos. gorgeous as always. i love the pix from caroline’s birthday dinner. she’s so lucky she had a great photographer to document her 21st.
I love the first photograph and honestly I don’t think you really needed the action on it..maybe just a little contrast. Beautiful! Great birthday shot!
steveo! i really like the colors in the first shot. did you use a 10-22 in the second shot?
Hopefuly, i’ll get ot attend his workshop.
Yup, Scott’s actions are the most amazing thing ever! Loved your photos! Thanks for stopping by!
That birthday photo rocks!!!
Love the spring weather! Breaking out the shorts and sandals…but NOT looking forward to the summer weather, tho!
