SIGMA KAPPA RHO
My beautiful sister!
SKRHO FAMILY
It’s all about Korean women! =)
Pimps of SKRHO
…And yours truly dancin NASCAR hahah (photograph taken by my sister)
It’s been a very relaxing and fun weekend for me. I finally have a weekend where I was actually home which is nice for a change. I spent a good number of hours moving and sorting all my clutter from college into my living space here at home which is such a relief. My mom and I pretty much cleared out all the junk that took up usable space. Spent Sunday and Monday with mostly family just relaxing together and enjoying some good old BBQin by the pool side. I’m finally working on my tan! hahah
So the photos are nothing offical above. My sister is a lil sib of Sigma Kappa Rho and I was her date for their end of the year formal Friday night! So of course I brought my camera and snapped a few shots!
Shopping List:
1. Monitor Calibrator (Anyone have any thoughts on the Eye-One Display)
2. New lens (Maybe Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 or thinking about the Canon 24mm Prime) I can’t get past how sharp primes are =)
3. More batteries =)
4. I think I need more RAM tooCheers,
Steve

keep up the good work.
Hey, great pictures (to no surprise!) Your sister is really pretty, and it looks like you guys had a lot of fun
Get yourself an Eye-One, and then some RAM, and THEN think about lenses. And unless you have a 5D, that 24-70 is just not going to give you what you want; I’d recommend the 17-55 EF-S IS. Yeah it’s not “L”, but are you really going to use it in a torrential downpour or something? Besides, your DSLR body probably isn’t “L” quality either. So get the EF-S lens and make all the “FF” users jealous of your f/2.8 IS lens! Unless of course you’re on the verge of getting a 5D lol, or plan to switch 100% to “FF” someday. Personally, and especially for zooms, I prefer cropped sensors. If I had an “FF” camera, I’d take advantage of the quality / sensor size and shoot with primes mostly. Besides, the 70-200 lenses are just wayyyy too big lol. Love my Sigma 50-150!!!

aw caroline’s so purdy! and i like that last picture of you too! hahaha
i definitely need more ram! ryc, i agree that posing takes so much work. before any shoot, i find myself visualizing the various poses for days. the average person doesn’t realize how much work goes into a shoot well before the shoot. steve, you are learning so much in such a concentrated time. that’s wonderful! definitely contact me when you’re down here!
oh yea steve, i don’t think i’ve ever asked you this but are you korean? heheh.
ryc: eheh thanks man. corona fiills me up though. = i like to stay with light/lite beer. boohoo to me h uh? haah
Are they all your family member? Then you really have a very big family!!!! Also, how come they are all look like with the same age as you? Where is the elders? It’s like a class from college more than the family……..funny!
Your sister is absolutely beautiful!
I agree with Matt on almost everything. What you really need to take into account is what you plan on shooting. For me a prime lens, although sharp, just isn’t that functional throughout a wedding. People look at you funny when you keep moving back and forth (and i am a big proponent of cropping in the camera). Don’t get me wrong I do have a 50mm 1.8, but I rarely use it. I have heard the 17-55 (I have 24-85 & 17-50) is a great combination with the 70-200 and a few favorite prime lenses. Don’t listen to anyone who tells you the 70-200 is two heavy! There are too many shots you miss out on with out having that 200 let me tell you (my f/4 was broken-missed it, so I bought the f/2.8 – love it!!). I do agree with the ram and the calibration tool. But it would be hard for me not to buy the lens first!! Capture a great image and figure out how to process it later!!
hey steve! i’m going alright. i’ve been writing frequently for the aggie. i see that you’ve been taking lots of pictures, too. awesome! hope all is well =)
Looks like a lot of fun =) Great Job again and God Bless!
