Sacramento Korean Joint Churches Youth Summer Retreat
The Kingdom LifeI’m Back Baby! =) It has been one busy month and I am only getting busier =) I enjoy being busy but sometimes its good for me to slow down. I haven’t even really had a chance to process or think about things from Paris. I’ve been on the go since before I left for Europe. Got back from Paris, work and then Youth Retreat! So here you have it, this post is dedicated to all you awesome and beautiful youth of Sacramento Korean Churches! =) I had such a blast and you have all blessed me in more ways than one. The camp was hosted at Sky Mountain and this has got to be one of the most beautiful retreat sites I have seen. The water is crystal clear, the trees are amazing and its easy to get lost from reality from such a beautiful environment.
I honestly want to go back and hike some other areas I wasn’t able to venture to. I hope some of the landscape photos can convey what I saw there. I don’t think they do it complete justice but these will have to do =) If you are wondering about the Eagle photo…well that was totally on the fly. I was talking along the banks of the lake and climbing up to the top of a dome and while I was hiking I saw a bird with a large wing span and then I noticed the head was white….”BALD EAGLE” I was scrambling to capture the rare bird on my camera as best I could. A little difficult with minimal focus points but I managed to get a shot of the bird. Moments like this I wish I had a 300 or 400mm lens on a super fast camera haha! Anyways, I’m no natelam =) but that was my best shot!
I’ll have more of Paris and London soon. I promise! =)
Thanks for tuning in.
Cheers,

ryc: all of them are taken by me, and probably 90% are taken by arm’s length. the only time i use a tripod is if my body is showing. ^^
Those are downright gorgeous! You did a great job of making me jealous of all the time we have spent working in the digital darkroom while you have been galavanting around the woods with bald eagles flying about!!!! ahhhh gee! And with a bunch of great kids enjoying God!! Wow!

damn, sweet pics! One of the best that I’ve seen on Xanga
okay, either you’re not the same person that I thought you were or I’ve just never seen your photos before because I don’t remember photos being this good.
not only “technically” (focus, composition, color, post-production), but you also made the day look like a blast. People are usually good at either, or, but not both.
hello, i have to admit, this is still just my part time job/hobby. i rent a studio. i like your post processing.
Lovely photos!
