Anyone have any experience with the Tamaron 14mm wide angle.  I am thinking about this lens for sometime now and just don’t think the Canon 14mm lens is worth 2k.  Let me know your thoughts

  • Thanks for the link, I’ll pass it on.

  • 2k….so expensive.

  • I believe the 15mm 2.8 is about half that. Very sharp lens and well built. Not an L series but for the amount of times you would actually use it each wedding a good investment.

  • haha. actually lemur wild!
    I LOVE LEMURS!

  • You’re selling the 30?  Whyyyy?

I agree with chrisfawkes.  The 15mm f/2.8 has the fisheye effect as well as incredible structure.

  • I use the Canon 15mm fisheye for <$500 but a fixed wide angle is a good idea for a low cost alternative. You might look into tokina also. Are you going for the 5D??? hey are you coming to WPPI??? I’m having a launch party to promote my presets on tuesday night in Paris.

  • Hey Steve, just dropped by to say hi. It’s been a while. I’ve been so swamped with so many things… Anyway, I trust all is well.
