  • My life is going a million miles an hour and I can’t seem to slow down or find time for the simple things.  If you think you can do two full time jobs and do them very well…you let me know your secrets.  Anyways, I’ll be updating when I get around to it.  Way behind on work and my life haha.  Hope you are all well.

    Cheers,
    Steve

  • I run two full time businesses pretty darn well, but I don’t post much

  • @Av8tqr - sweet =)  mad props and high five to you.  it doesnt help that i have a full time job that is strictly a 8-5 M-F.  Flexibility for me is just not there!  I gotta work with what I got which is nothing for my photography business haha.  Soon I shall not have a 8-5.  Mind me asking what businesses you run?

  • @saphoto - A 9-5 would be the death of me… And thus, my hat’s off to YOU, lol.
My marketing company is in it’s 9th year, and Blue shoe Photo is in the midst of it’s second

  • @Av8tqr - Awesome.  I applaud you and keep pressing forward in photography! =)  Yah im working on changing the 8-5.  Its not conducive for my life  style too haha.

  • lol. you are where i was about a year ago…  you know what has to happen eventually. it’s just a matter of seeking God’s directing through these waters. praying and cheering for you bro!

  • 2 full time job! ._.
    take care steve!

    i didn’t even have a part-time to start with.

  • Dude your life does sound crazy.  But on the bright side it is partially that way because your photography is becoming so good and people are wanting your services.  I agree with Junshien that at some point you will just have to listen to God and let him lead you down the path he has for you.

  • Hey Stevo, keep your chin up.  Consider it a blessing to have career options, and diversified revenue even at your tender age.  Something will eventually have to give, but pray for wisdom, and with your brains, I know you’ll make the right decisions.  Get your lifte back though, because you’re only young once…

  • You rock my world Stephen Ng!!

  • I agree with WmEric – this means your photography business is going so well !! Having a 8-5 job and also weekend photography is hard. eProps for your hard works! Keep praying to seek your career options, God will reveal Himself by dropping hints to you on what to do very soon!

“Hang in there Minis” for you!! This costed me 10 xanga credits! j/k~~~hahahahaha~~~~ok fine~~your post worth more than 10 credits!!!

  • Here’s the secret:  quit the job that makes you the least money.

In all seriousness, a 9-5 is an awesome thing too.  You get a known paycheck every couple weeks.  You get health insurance etc.  And you don’t have to worry about generating work to do every day, all you have to do is show up, do what they tell you, then leave.

My job can be a 9-3 sometimes.  3 AM that is. 24-7.

The grass is always greener, my friend!
    =Matt=

  • Ignore Matt…don’t quit the job that makes you the least money…that usually ends up being your passion.  All work no passion will drive you insane!!!  When the time is right quite the job you like the least.  Which if it happens to be the job make makes you the least amount of money then Matt is right.

The answer my friend is only to be found with in you.  One persons formula for sucess may not work for another.  The other aspect to consider is perception/perspective.  Change those two and you will be happier and more successful.

I find that the only way I can keep my head afloat with 1 full time job, 1 3/4 time job and one 1/4 time job is to create to-do lists, schedules and standards.  I make a list in the morning on a sticky note that are my 5 top things I have to get done today.  No stress no worries just 5 things.  If I do extra…great…if I don’t do the five…I have to re-evaluate how I am spending my time.  I have a schedule during the week indicating which days I do things (monday guestbooks/e-mail purge, tuesday engagement session, wednesday process, thursday process, friday mail & process…you get the idea).  The standards are simple..I try not to promise what I can’t deliver.

My two cents, take it or leave it.  When you figure it out share your two cents as well!  Best of luck!
