@Pnoiz1 - i do love my other job…my day job is meh and i will eventually leave that. I’m a full time wedding photographer and I work a full time 40hr 8-5.
don’t worry about it, that’s only half the hrs in the week. you can sleep the other half
oh man, I’ve been there a few months ago. I discovered another side of me that I’m afraid of.
talk about overtime work!
infringing any labor law?
I hear you! I really do! I hope you’re doing well through it all, though!
You’re a superman! I can’t wait for the day you leave that day job for good and pursue your true destiny, greatness awaits you my friend!
@BandeleZuberi - B thank you…really thank you for these words. I needed that! Speaking of destiny…you have some truly amazing work. Thanks for the encouragement my friend. Miss you in your home town but I know well be hanging soon again =) cheers my friend!

Only 80 hours a week?!! Why are you complaining? Be thankful you have work, many dont in this awful economy. I have all sorts of friends who have lost jobs, lost homes and have no photography business happening right now. When you are truly shooting full time and business is really busy, you’ll never look at your clock or watch again…why? Because the wedding biz is a 24hr job. You’ll eat, sleep and work all the time and the only day off you will have is when you finally can go get some sleep! Ha!
You are really young and have all sorts of energy, enjoy it while you can. Im 52, slowing down, cant move as fast like I used to when shooting and now the market is over saturated with digital cameras so anyone can pick one up, put up a $100 web site and call themselves a photographer. The compitition factor is killing this industry and thats why I am slowly getting back into every other type of photography other than weddings.
Your work is outstanding, you seem to have a good head on your shoulders (good place to have your head, if it was on your butt it would look to funny) and you have a good work ethic about yourself too. If you ever need any help on a job, let me know. I have almost thirty years in this biz.
Later.

Wow, I get exhausted after just 40 hours! How do you do it, man?
