I have the privilege of sharing the day with Travis and Lori, both terrific people very much in love.  Their wedding was super ace since it was right when the fall colours were starting to bloosom.  Fall has got to be my favorite time of the year just because of the vibrate and beautiful array of warm colors from leaves.  Fall and winter always make me want to stay in doors for some movies, popcorn and games with family and friends.  =)  I always love clients because they take care of me at their weddings.  I think its always very important to establish good relationship with your clients as a photographer.  It’s pretty much a given with anything in life but especially in my line of work.  Thank you Travis and Lori it was a pleasure to spend the day with your lovely family.  I hope you all enjoy this set.  Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned for loads of other work from weddings and engagements.  I’m trying to finish up all my work for the winter season and 2008 so my clients are ready to roll for the Christmas holidays to share their wedding day again with family and friends. =)  Thanks to all my clients who patiently wait. =)  I take everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving.  Though small, I had a fantastic time with my family.  I have an endless list of things I am thankful for.  I think the spirit of gratitude is a good things to be reminded of and very important to live out in each of our lives.  There comes much blessing to those who are grateful for all that God provides in our lives.  Thank you everyone who has supported me thus far in following my dreams and passions.  Cheers to the extra ordinary life.

I am especially thankful for some very very special and dear to me.  Sou-wah.  =)  She’s the most super ace person I’ve ever met and she blesses me so much.  I am thankful for her each and everyday.  You’re my answered prayer.  =)  Sometimes I can’t believe something like you can happen to me. =)  Thank you for being you.  =))))))))

    Thanks for stopping by everyone.

Blazer’s sink the winning shoot with 0.8 seconds on the clock to take the win against the Rockets.  I love this shot of them…that was purely the moment =)  How ace is that on your bachelor party…your home team wins for what might be one of the most awesome games in the NBA =)

After much effort Jay finally makes the big screen in OT.  Awesome.

    LOL to this photo =)

    The excitement =)

The guys version of patty cake hahaha

David catching up on some reading

Admiring how amazing they both look =)

    Can’t forget the ladies =)

Safeway – The way of safe.  Always a first for everything, never shot photos in Safeway before but always wanted to =)

If I told you what they had to do and say when they got to Safeway you might just  ROFL literally.  =)  I’ll spare you all today.

Obviously he didn’t get what was going on hahahah

Lia is loving Jay’s new look.  Doesn’t Jay look amazingly HOT? hahahah

I’ve got tons and tons more stuff I need to be posting from weddings and engagement shoots I’ve been on.  I apologize for not updating regularly.  Things have been a bit crazy lately but all very very wonderful at the same time.  =)  Anyways, I hope you all get a kick out of these photos as much as I did =)  They look amazing here and they look even more smashing on their wedding day hehe.

Portland is a fantastic place, one of my favorite cities to visit in the United States.  I wouldn’t mind living here; Seattle is pretty ace too =)  I must say though there are a lot of artistically talented people who come from the Pacific Northwest.  Its beautiful there, lots of rain but it doesn’t rain as often as people think it does.  They have the most amazing taverns and the best happy hours ever.  I got a Burger with fries for $2 baby and tax free.  Woot for Oregon on no sales tax.  Ok thats all for now.  Thanks for stopping by.

    Cheers,
    Steve

  • Who are some of my favorite models?

Well hands down Stephanie & Serena are two of my favorites because they are awesome people.  Both are extremely talented and versed in fashion =) I look forward to working with them later on this year =)

Well, I am back from Portland and what an amazing time I had with super ace people. =) Congrats to Jay and Lia and I can’t wait to post photos from their wedding.  =) Special thanks to Henry and Stephanie for having me over during the duration of my stay.  I can’t thank you both enough for your hospitality and kindness towards me.  I feel like I’ve known you both my whole life.  Thank you for welcoming me.  I have some funny stories from this trip I shall share with you all later.  Saw the Portland vs. Houston game last week and that was possibly the best basketball game I have ever seen in my entire life, PERIOD.  It can compare to the playoffs in 93 but this game was simply amazing. =)

I’m working on a million things right now so please be patient for slide shows from a number of weddings, more and more photos etc. =) Thank you brides for being so patient.  I am doing my best to get things all done before the holiday season because I know many of you want to show your families all the memories =)

Today is Veterans Day here in the USA.  Special shout out to my father and the many other men and women who have served this great nation.  It’s people like you who sacrifice so that we all may have the life we have today.  Thank you.

That’s my dad on the Air Craft Carrier back in the day.  I think his experience was super ace and growing up I sort of wished I took that route to the Navy.  I think I would of learned a lot.  Thanks Dad.

Last but certainly not least I am most thankful for the super fantastic and beautiful Ms. Sou-wah!!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks for reading everyone,
    Stephen

It is very difficult for me to try and convey in words how my visit to Seville, Spain changed my life.  Its been nearly a month since I was last in Spain and since then it has been nothing less than AMAZING.  To put it simply…I came back a different person.  A changed man, a man with perspective I had not realized.  A greater sense of purpose and what God wants me to be doing in life.  From a photographers perspective I have so much great respect for the art than I ever had so far in my career.  I’m not the same person I was before Spain.  Can a week 7 or 8 thousand miles away change someones life?  YES IT CAN and it has for many people who have embarked on life’s journey with Scott Robert Photography World Tour Workshops.  Having been to other international and various other workshops Spain has been the most pivotal of all the workshops I’ve been to in the development of my art, craft and pursuit of the extra ordinary life.  It’s not to say the other workshops weren’t amazing because those were all very phenominal too and have helped better shape me as a photographer/artist.  Scott pours so much into you its nearly impossible to absorb it all at once but he is definitely there to keep pushing you to succeed and perfect your craft.  His passion for people, photography and ministering to people to live an extra ordinary life has blessed my life in more ways than I could possible put into words.  I’m very grateful and priviledge to be able to learn and be mentored by one of the worlds renoun photographers/arist.  I have him to thanks for so much in my life.  In fact, I almost didn’t make it to Spain and I knew I would regret it if I didn’t go and he was there to affirm me that I needed to go.  I look back to that week of my life and think to myself how on earth did I ever even think of not going.  I wouldn’t trade those sweet moments in life for anything.  Everything from being in Spain to meeting amazing people from different places, learning new tools and techniques to perfect the craft of portraiture.  If I knew what would of transpired and had not gone I could honestly say it would be one if not the one major regret I would have in my life.  God had a way of providing for me and giving me more direction from that day up until now and so on.  Things have never seems so clear for me in my entire life.  I know this to be true in my heart and it feels right.  For the first time so much has changed me I feel like I’m actually beginning to live my life.  I’ve always looked at life as a grand story.  The only difference is the story you choose to live out.  You partly create it by decisions you make in life or whatever life measures come your way that mold you to the way you are today.  I ask myself this question nearly everyday…if someone were to write a book about you life, would anyone want to read it?  Really, would anyone want to read it?  Now interestingly life choices and paths we choose all have different scenarios, things that happen and experiences that shape us to become hopefully better people.  My whole life I’ve always knew I wanted to do great things in life, things that were different or extra ordinary but I never knew how I would do it or if it would ever happen.  How does these things happen?  Well certainly not on their own.  I think as people many of us don’t dream enough.  Dreams are often distant thoughts that never become a reality for whatever reason each person may have.  I believe in dreaming.  Whatever happen to our dreams?  Do you recall when you were once a child and what dreams you had or things you aspired to become or do in life?  You know a child is rather simple.  Their thoughts are no where near our thoughts of rationalization, measuring and weighing out things in life.  A child sees things for what they are.  They see, say and possible just do it.  I think for many people its not a matter of circumstances but rather a battle of yourself.  I think most people are simply afraid.  It’s not that people don’t know better or haven’t not heard such things before.  I think fear gets the best of us or perhaps its comfortablity?  We don’t want to take the narrower path because it seems difficult, rough and uncertain.  But isn’t that the life Jesus calls us to?  His life was most certainly extra ordinary and to this very day it still is and it stands .  Jesus lived an extra ordinary life that simply no man anyone could ever measure up to.  But Jesus inspires.  He invites us to join Him in faith but most of the time were scared to.  I belive strongly that LIFE is a gift from God.  Life isn’t just waking up each day to just exist.  We exist all for a purpose and its our job to seek our purpose in God’s plan for our lives.

Anyways, special thanks to Scott Robert.  I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for his dedication to his passions in life and his mentorship.  I want to bring value to his life but He gives so much I feel like I am in life major debt hahaha.  In any case I have been so blessed and if you are someone reading this and are thinking about a SR World Tour Workshop in 2009.  Trust me, you wont want to miss it.  2009 is going to be super fantastic.  In a weakening economy I trust in God to always provide and you know what…He always comes through.  This is my life.  This is who I am.  Artist/Photographer.  My passion has always been for people and to be in a career that involes sharing lives with people is what life is really all about.  Life is is meant to be shared and experienced with people all to bring glory to the One who created all things. Thank you God for blessing my life so much when in fact I don’t deserve such gifts of life.  Scott, thanks for helping me to see in a brand new way.  Uterally thankful for all my fans, subscribers, family, firends and clients who all support and encourage me to live my dreams.  Cheers to the extra-ordinary life.  Life is meant to be shared and I can’t wait to share more of this life with everyone and YOU =)

    Cheers,
    Stephen
